Synchronome Distribution Board
These distribution boards where made in a varity of sizes, ranging from 2 circuit up to 10 circuit or more. The example shown here is a 5 circuit board. The purpose of these was that 1 Master clock could control vertually an unlimited amount of clocks, in a large installation, such as a office biulding or large factory.
Each circuit may comprise around 80 slave clocks or more, so in effect the example shown here could control at least 400 clocks.
They were made in 3 sections a bit like a book, to gain access to the various parts for setting the circuit currant, servicing etc. Note the small ampmeter in the top left hand corner, for setting the currant for each for the 5 circuits.
